About Gamma Institute
Welcome to Gamma Institute of Mathematics! This is a small, yet vibrant, hub based in Kolkata for students seeking to improve their mathematics skills. Founded by the experienced mathematics teacher, Mr. Somnath Das, Gamma Institute of Mathematics aims to make learning mathematics easy and fun for all students.

Our Vision

Progress comes naturally as a student's interest grows. Thus, our primary vision is to inspire a love for mathematics in every student who walks through our doors, or even joins us online.

Personalised Approach

Our small class sizes allow for interactive learning, where questions are encouraged, and concepts are explained thoroughly. We ensure that every student receives personalised attention.

All Boards

We welcome all students in class 9 - 12, irrespective of their school or board. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about eligibility.

Online Learning

We offer online classes, enabling students to access our expert teaching from the comfort of their homes. As would be expected, our online classes offer the same quality of education as our offline classes.

Future Expansion

While we currently operate from a single room, we aspire to expand into a larger facility, equipped with state-of-the-art resources, to accommodate even more students and offer an even richer learning experience.
About Somnath Sir
With over two decades of dedicated teaching experience, Mr. Somnath Das (MSc. Math (applied), MCA, MPhil. Math) has been on a mission to demystify the world of mathematics. His passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to making maths enjoyable and accessible has left an indelible mark on the lives of over thousands of students.
Mathematics is not merely a subject, but a gateway to understanding the world around us. To that end, Somnath sir approaches each lesson with enthusiasm, infusing his teaching with a genuine love for the subject. His enduring fascination with maths has been the driving force behind his extensive career, which has touched the lives of students from diverse backgrounds and schools.
Somnath sir's teaching style is adaptive, and suits the unique learning preferences of each of his students. He also firmly believes that true mathematical understanding comes from regular practice, and thus encourages his students to practice various types of problems on a daily basis.
